I joined eBay in 1998 with two goals in mind, to find a complete set of Dungeons & Dragons cartoon pvc figures and to find three Hanna Barbera coloring books (Scooby-Doo, Josie & the Pussycats and Speed Buggy) that I had as a child in the 1970’s. I found the third and final of the three coloring books (the Scooby-Doo book) two years ago. Today, 21 years after I started hunting I received the final figure in this set in the mail, the Presto figure. I had him initially but the remaining figures that I needed in the set (Bobby, Uni, Eric and Sheila) weren’t showing up so I sold both him and Hank keeping Diana because I love the girls. Four years ago they miraculously started to show up online, rather plentiful. I bought the four I needed immediately speculating that a case must have surfaced somewhere in Europe. I waited on Presto and Hank because I wasn’t in the financial position to purchase them at the time. Then they started to dry up. Knowing that they were from the 80’s and there wouldn’t be many other chances to complete the set I created another bookmark on eBay and waited. Although he and Hank (he’s missing a hand) are in worse condition than the figures I sold over a decade ago, I finally have them all. Patience pays off. The first two photos in this post aren’t mine, they are taken from a google search as my collection is packed away in storage but I wanted to tell the story with visual aids so here they are.

AuthorWelcome to my toy collection. I collect a wide variety of different toys from throughout Pop Culture. I enjoy making and purchasing custom figures (since I'm terrible at sculpting) to help finish teams that were started but never finished by toy companies. The goal is to have all of favorite media in toy form. I still have a long way to go! Site is updated regularly so come back often. Categories
