Charkasian is unintentionally like the fill-in penciller of customs when it comes to my Marvel Legends collection. As a kid reading comics there would be a long run of books by the main artist only to have that run covered for an issue or two by a guest artist. Rick Leonardi was that guy during the Outback era of the X-Men, Charkasian is that guy for my Outback Marvel Legends collection. The few X-Men and Marauders figures that were not made Face Customs or Wings Customs have been made by Charkasian from Ireland. Scrambler was another eBay purchase. I had just begun working with Wings on the Marauders when this figure hit eBay. I'm unsure of the base figure used to make him but his face looks very familiar. If anyone knows who it is, let me know. This is one of those characters that is hard to render accurately in figure form but I think it's a solid representation.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
