A Custom A Day.... 365 days of custom figures Day 36 - Marvel Legends Goblin Queen by Face Customs2/6/2015 Today's figure is a Madeline Pryor as the Goblin Queen by the fabulous Face Customs. When I asked Face to render Madeline in her flight suit I knew that I needed her as the Goblin Queen as well to compliment her and begin the Marauders. Maddie was revised once she was completed. Originally Face used a DC Direct Livewire head casting with sculpted hair. (You can see photos of it under the toy collection tab of this site). This figure was crafted around the time the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Black Cat figure was released. Face had made another Goblin Queen for another customer using Felicia's hair and decided that, in his words, my rendition was ugly and needed revisions. I didn't agree initially but once I saw the finished product I was glad he did. She turned out excellent and better captures the essence of the character. Tomorrow we'll take a look at the beginnings of my Marvel Legends Marauders collection by Face's buddy and mine, Wings.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
