I've purchased several Justice League Unlimited unassembled custom figure kits from GeekVariety Custom's website, most of which are still sitting untouched but these kits are usually limited to the life of the molds that created them so I knew I had to get them to continue to beef up my Timmverse collection. Specifically the Batman Beyond universe which is sorely lacking in representation. Mattel did a nice job filling out the future JLU but the villains and supporting cast for Terry were just abysmal. Fortunately artists like GeekVariety, 37 Customs, Glassman and Stew's Customs have kept the line alive by making kits and customs of many of the missing supporting characters that didn't stand a chance of being produced. I can't keep up!!!! Max was an eBay purchase, GeekVariety offers a painting service for his kits but I never used that service so I don't know what the turn around is. She is a solid piece and has no articulation. She is glued to her base for balance. She's like a big chess pawn. I don't mind that she's solid, the JLU figures are not known for their ability to stand so her stability helps keep other figures on the shelf behind her from shelf diving. The pose captures her Cree Summers sassiness and the head sculpt is perfect. The paint job is impressively clean as well. This body is the same body that he sells for with his DeeDee twins kit. It's a great sculpt that ties in perfectly with the rest of the JLU lines.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
