A Custom A Day.... 365 days of custom figures Day 15 - 80's Orange Poncho Rogue Minimate by 4:F1/16/2015 I am by no means a Marvel Minimates completist. I focus on unique characters, usually from the 70's through the 90's. I find Minimates to be the perfect toy. With nothing more than a different paint scheme and accessories, they can be anyone from ANY property. I have an entire custom Hanna Barbera collection of pet detective Minimates because of this. I'll introduce you to them later in the year. I decided to make this version of Rogue because I can't figure out what the best way to execute the poncho for an action figure. Maybe a balloon? Who knows? She'll get made in the costume as a Marvel Legends custom, eventually. In the meantime here she is in Minimate form. She uses a modified cape from a Dana from the Ghostbusters 4 pack. Her hair is from an Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Expendables box set and her tunic is from a classic Mandarin. The rest is paint. I have yet to see anyone make her in this costume.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
