A Custom A Day.... 365 days of custom figures Day 321 - Minimate Melody's drums by Psyguy11/17/2015 Eventually I hope to have the Josie band rendered as Minimates of their own. Attempting to swap their heads back and forth ruined Melody's facial decal so I won't be doing that anymore. Regardless they needed their drum set. I used the Peter Criss drums from the K'nex Kiss minifigure set. I had a sticker floating in the center of a poorly painted pink drum. I shared them alongside Melody on Day 66 of this project. After ruining Melody and sending her back to Psyguy for repairs (thank you!), I asked if he would also spruce up the drums I did with a proper waterslide decal. He not only added the decal but gave it a slick paint job too! I love the color he chose.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
