I loved my Mego dolls as a child. I loved the cheesey plastic coated playsets Mego produced for them. I also love the Internet. It has exposed me to so many brilliant artists who have created so many different types of unique custom dolls, figures and playsets to help me complete all of my favorite teams from my favorite shows growing up. This playset is a perfect example of one of those items. I love the engineering that went in to giving this playset the vintage feel of the original Mego line. I bought this long before the Batman 66 toy license became a reality. I never imagined that there would eventually be an Yvonne Craig Batgirl doll to interact with this playset let alone an Yvonne Craig Barbara Gordon to truly showcase how perfect this playset is. I can only hope that one day there will be an in scale Batgirl 66 cycle to top it off, whether it be a custom or something factory produced.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
