A Custom A Day.... 365 days of custom figures Day 280 - Toy Biz 5 inch Thunderbolts Moonstone by 4:F10/7/2015 My 5 inch Toy Biz customs are rough, I did them all in the early 2000's. I've always struggled with making the surfaces look blended and smooth. My sculpt work always seems to sit on top of the piece rather than blend into it as part of it. Some worse than others. I practice but it must not be enough. I'd so much rather have someone else with a seemingly effortless gift for it do it. Moonstone is a First Appearances Stinger body and head with Water Wars Storm's hair. The top of her mask is sculpted. Bumpy. I'm not great with sanding either. Everything I sand looks pitted. I was attempting to build the whole Thunderbolts team but Citizen V & Mach IV were too tough for me to pull off so I'm them short of the original roster. Someday.

A Custom A Day....
Since
I began toy collecting as a hobby back in 1990 I have always had a
need for custom figures. Toy companies begin action figure lines, begin
to release individual characters to create teams and, more often than
not leave them incomplete. Many collectors find that custom figures
pollute their collection's authenticity by not being mass produced
creations from the toy companies that created the preexisting toy lines.
I disagree. I feel a quality custom action figure enhances a
collection and help create a complete picture. Archives
